In the end, it didn’t matter anymore that we didn’t place. It mattered that all our efforts combined, produced this. That all of us were in love with this Lantern, and for that, we received a lot of love from spectators.

It doesn’t matter that we didn’t place, when a lot of us were thinking, “Our baby is all grown up and joining Lantern Parade :’)”

It doesn’t matter, because in a few years, when we graduate, we won’t be remembering that College who won Lantern Parade, we’ll be remembering our Cupcake lantern with Gingy and the lollipop and cookie and marshmallows and sprinkles and fluff. We’ll be remembering our ants, all dressed up for the occasion. We’ll be remembering our grass, mushrooms and flowers for giving it a home to rest on.

I think that this was the best Lantern out there last night, because it encompassed our College. We are beauty and brains. We pay attention to and appreciate not only to our superiors and to our peers, but also to the people who serve and protect us everyday. Everybody is important, because hardwork and unity will always reap sweet rewards.
